Krungsri RISE Batch 3’s application is official closed!
After 2 successful batches in 2016 and 2017, our Batch 3 is going regional and looking to help as many startups from Southeast Asia to scale in Thailand as possible. And what better way to do that than meeting hopeful applicants, face-to-face?
On our roadshow through Singapore and Vietnam, we were lucky enough to witness so much talent and determination as 20 startups battled it out for the chance to join the program. In the end, two came out on top and got advanced to the final selection around, they are Botbot.AI from Singapore and INNAWAY from Vietnam.
We got to sit down for a quick chat with Daryl from Botbot.AI and CK from INNAWAY, let’s see what they have to say!

Why Krungsri RISE?
We see the synergy between us and Krungsri as a bank. Until now we have just been in the service in industry.
We actually entered Thailand last month, having integrated with LINE, so this is the right time.
How confident are you going into Thailand?
Thailand is interesting because 70% of the population is using line LINE and 90% has a mobile phone. So our biggest selling point is based on Thai’s preference for mobile application, which is what we do.
What are your competitive edges?
The consumer chatbot industry is saturated but no one is working on internal chat bot automation. We take any tools, CRM, salesforce, SAP, ERP system and integrate them into chat systems. Imagine being able to trade as a relationship manager or a trader via a chatbot: manage client relationships, checkup on stock information, get on Bloomberg, morning star, trading platforms. You can process policies, create new clientele, manage them, create appointments, etc. No one is doing this because the core NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) is proprietary to us so we are not at all relying on any bot frameworks.
We focus on domain expertise like pre-populated workflows and templates. For example: Any competitors will have to research workflows with other banks to develop solutions for them vs we already having those in our database via working with so many already.

What is INNAWAY?
INNAWAY is a chat based communication tool for standalone & small hotel chains to run in-house customer service and retarget their existing customers.
How did you find out about Krungsri RISE?
A friend actually recommended the program to us so here we are.
We’ve been trying to collaborate with local banks in Vietnam. The good thing about banks is their large customer base, clienteles, people who are willing to pay. That is the information we need to tap into a new market. So we think Krungsri RISE can be invaluable in giving us a stepping stone in Thailand, and deliver value to the market here.
Why Krungsri RISE?
The program can connect us to corporations, Krungsri also brings a lot of direct connections to their clientele. But there are definitely a lot more than that so I’m excited to learn more about the program.
So how are you feeling, being the winner of Krungsri RISE Vietnam Roadshow?
I didn’t really expect it. I am here actually because I want to connect to the Thai market, and Krungsri RISE is a great gateway. I didn’t expect to be the winner or anything like that. So it was a surprise. But it’s good to have that kind of surprise, you know.
